Profile

Ibrahim M. Mehedi received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in aerospace engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Seri Kembangan, Malaysia, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and information systems (under Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship) from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2011.

During his Ph.D. research, he was a Research Assistant with the Global Center of Excellence, University of Tokyo, and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Sagamihara, Japan. In 2012, he joined King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Research Member of the Center of Excellence in Intelligent Engineering Systems. Prior to this, he worked with the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), and the CocaCola Bottling Plant.

He has authored or coauthored 5 US Patents and 128 journal and conference papers.  He has also supervised more than 30 B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
